Master of Arts in Ministry Care

Your compassionate heart and fundamental drive to help people have a home in our Ministry Care program. You’ll study the theory and best practices of counseling and spiritual care, learning to do effectively and professionally what you already do naturally — listen, reach out, and heal, through God.  

The M.A. in Ministry Care is diverse, with graduates in over 100 countries.

  • How to apply scriptural principles for spiritual and emotional health in multicultural settings
  • Theologically based counseling skills in discipleship ministry
  • Tools for providing care for the emotional and spiritual needs of others by helping them understand their situation from God’s perspective

Although not licensed counselors, Ministry Care students are well trained in counseling services and techniques. They’re prepared to help with the emotional and spiritual needs of people from all backgrounds and to work in a variety of settings. In fact, CBS graduates have established 13 pastoral-care centers in Columbia alone.
